Non-traditional media
Non-traditional media is experiencing near exponential growth in the region as consumers rank new & social media as the preferred communication medium. New media is here to stay and communications professionals are under pressure to shape their response to consumer feedback on social media networks.
The Social Media Forum at SIM 2009 attracted 183 delegates. Leading figures in the marketing and communications industry speaking at the forum included Husni Khuffash, Country Business Development Manager of Google UAE; Joel Berger, Managing Director of Fox Interactive Media/MySpace Germany; and Andrew Bleeker, the New Media Director for the largest Social Media campaign in history: Obama for America, Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.
